I consulted closely with the marketing department at Litre Meter and considered all the elements they would like to include in the new brand identity.  Marston Flow needed to stand alone from Litre Metre in order to differentiate between the 2 sides of the business.

This meant learning more about the business and also the key things would convey

what the customer was getting while using a more oil/gas driven colour palette opposed to the blue colour palette of it's sister company Litre Metre as directed by the client.

It was important to make sure the brand conveyed the important flow element of the business as well as being something instantly recognisable to someone looking for that type of product.  The flow meter symbol was an excellent starting point to convey this and so that is how the logo evolved from a simple technical symbol into a stylised logo to convey what the business does at a simple glance.  Then the earthy colour themes were introduced along with a gradient effect to convey the shimmer/viscosity often associated

with oils and gases in particular.  In addition to this I created sketch product elements to put emphasis on the fact these products had been designed in house alongside sourcing imagery to support the brand .
